2011 Subaru Impreza WRX and WRX STI Dynamic Brochure –
Sharper. Bolder. Better at raising the intensity of your driving experience.
Blood Brothers
– The Subaru Impreza WRX and WRX STI represent the apex of Subaru performance engineering. They’re both the product of more than a decade of rally racing. And both feature edgy styling thanks to muscular lines and functional hood scoops and rear spoilers. The new WRX now shares the wide-body design of the WRX STI. And now the WRX STI is available as a 4-door—complete with a bold rear wing.
All-out Power
– The WRX and WRX STI offer plenty of power to get your adrenaline going. Both feature the SUBARU BOXER engine paired with a turbocharger and performance intercoolers. The unique horizontally opposed design of the engine helps increase the stability and balance of the vehicle has a whole. The WRX spits out 265 horsepower and a potent 244 lb-ft of torque—enough power to take you from 0-60 in just 5 seconds. The WRX STI takes it to the next level, achieving a fiery 305 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of vicious torque.
Total Control
– Horsepower is only part of the story for the WRX and the WRX STI. Both feature the exceptional balance and control of Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, powerful braking and sharp handling thanks to suspensions tuned for quick response and feedback. On the WRX STI you’ll find Brembo brakes for exceptional stopping power. You’ll also experience a redesigned suspension system that’ll give you a sharper edge in almost any condition. It’s lower, stiffer, and features pillow-ball bushings for heightened precision.
Driver-oriented interior
– Inside both the WRX and the WRX STI, you’ll find an interior focused on performance driving. Both are available with Bluetooth hands-free calling, and Bluetooth audio streaming. What’s more, an audio interface is available on both that allows you to connect and control an iPod® or other media player. They both also come with sport-designed front seats. And on the WRX STI, grippy Alcantara inserts are standard to help you better stay in the pocket during performance driving. What’s more, the WRX STI features a redesigned instrument panel with electroluminescent gauges.
